APPLICATION:

Montel’s HD 16MA mechanical-assist mobile storage system is designed for medium to heavy loads for very deep carriages in demanding environments where sturdiness and reliability is essential. It is compatible with Montel’s 4D wide span semi-industrial racking, or any wide span shelving or racking. Refer to technical data sheet M01.165.006 4D Wide Span for further details.

TECHNICAL
SPECIFICATIONS:

• Rails: Made of cold rolled steel (CRS) and powder coated. Dimensions are of 3/8” (9.5 mm) in height by 3½” (99 mm) in width and secured to the floor with concrete screws. Levelness of floor to be 1/4” maximum variation within 20’
  (6.4 mm within 6.1 m).
• Wheel Channels: Made of 3/16″ (4.8mm) 50W steel and powder coated. Wheel channels are welded and are 6 1/4″ deep x 6 3/8″ high (159mmx162mm). Wheel channels can support a maximum of 16,000lbs (7257kg) per section.
• Wheels: Made of solid SAE 1045 steel for smooth operation. Wheels are precision ground and balanced. All wheels are 6 1/8″ (156mm) diameter (rolling dimension). They are dual-flanged and sloped to ensure efficient guidance.
• Bearings: All wheel bearings are sealed.
• Side Members: Constructed of “C” shaped profiles 2 1/2″ deep x 5 11/16″ high (63.5mm x 144mm), minimum 50W 11-gauge steel. Side members are not load carrying components i.e. all live load must sit on racking components.
• Torque-Resistant Tubular Drive Shaft: Tubular drive shafts are made of 1.90″ (48mm) outside diameter by 1.650″ (42mm) inside diameter steel tubing and are fastened with Grade 8 hardware.
• Handles: Are made of durable glass-filled nylon and have a push-button aisle locking mechanism.
• Chain Mechanisms: Chains are confined to hide mechanical hazards.
• Anchorplates: Made of 3/16″ (4.8mm) 50W steel with welded studs positions customized for your specific wide span shelving or racking.
